Initially, several major labels battled against the availability of their artists' music videos on the internet, attempting to sue those who posted videos to YouTube for copyright infringement. However, the music industry has lately realised that efforts to track platforms such as YouTube are time intensive.

Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Abu Dhabi Media opened Vevo, a music video hosting platform.

4) What are the key conventions of a music video?
